Louisiana Swamp Scum Hot Sauce Review

louisiana swamp scum hot sauceA couple of months ago I visited New Orleans for the first time. It was one of the best vacation I can remember going on so when I was contacted by Mossy Bayou Foods to review their “Louisiana Swamp Scum Hot Sauce” I was thrilled.

The name really nails what the hot sauce looks like. Swamp Scum! It has a very deep dark rich green color. It reminds me of the dripping run off water if shove your hands in deep in a Louisiana swamp and raised the mud in the air.

But don’t let the color scare you. Louisiana Swamp Scum taste great! It is not a spicy hot sauce, but more of a vinegary sauce. The vinegar and molasses in the hot sauce make me believe that this would be amazing on fried food like fish & chips or fried cat fish!

If you want to send me your hot sauce for review just contact me!

  2. Looks like that sauce is a great alternative to the typical cayenne based stuff. Would love to try it myself! Thanks for the great video/post.

  3. Wow, you are a brave man. That sauce does not look visually appealing. But I think that is part of the fun too!

Great idea for the fish and chips too!

Is there ANYTHING that you don’t put hot sauce on? You will have to start and antacid review site soon! Keep up the great work.
